About my birds
Although I very rarely sell my stock, every once in a while I do have a few surplus birds for sale. I do not sell for profit as so many breeders who seem to sell endless batches of birds on a regular basis. I only sell on rare occasions. I do not hatch C class birds, therefore do not sell any.
The birds offered for sale are housed outdoors and have been throughout the - 8'C temperatures and snow. Although they are very tiny, they are very hardy as with all my stock. My serama are never kept in the house, this is a poor practice that promotes weak birds. My birds are housed in an unheated outbuilding with a simple heat lamp from birth then at 6 weeks gradually taken off heat, then moved outdoors regardless of the time of the year to an unheated covered run at 5-6 months old, only my mature breeding birds are kept in the indoor unheated outbuilding, to limit the noise of the males. My grower serama have no heating in their outdoor run, though they are protected by sheets of perspex from draughts and driving rain. I have never lost a serama to the cold.
My serama are wormed and treated for external parasites from 6 weeks of age. They are raised on Garvo and Redband feeds which are the best quality feeds money can buy.
I do not sell eggs via my website and only sell a few surplus batches on ebay where all can have the chance to bid.
NO BIRDS FOR SALE UNTIL MID/END 2012
